Raq - Ton These

[High Performance Rock & Roll]

Rating : 4 Stars

RAQ affirms their self-proclamation of 'high performance rock and roll' with their latest album, Ton These.

RAQ's ability to translate their creative amplitude to neophytes and capture the ear of the ultraist shows their depth and understanding of music. Consisting of multi-levels of interests and backgrounds, their music not only aims to intrigue but continuously offers the variety and newness most bands covet.

RAQ's jovial lyrics and unrelenting touring, paralleled with their intensity and melodic invention, houses the complete package.

Critics may say this band sounds a little 'Phishy' or contains characteristics of typical jambands; however, I give Ton These four stars for their layered creativity, innovation and control in the studio. I also couldn't sleep knowing that Rolling Stone gave Fall Out Boy's Infinity on High 3 and ½ stars.
